Dalian University of Technology (DUT), founded in April 1949, is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China and sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In September 2017, after approval by the State Council, DUT was selected into the university of the “Double First-Class” Initiative, category A. DUT has four campuses (Lingshui, Yi'erjiu, Development Zone and Panjin) in two cities (Dalian and Panjin). DUT has a faculty and staff of approximately 4,500, including around 3,000 full-time teachers. It boasts 15 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Among full-time teachers, over 950 hold senior professional titles and more than 1,250 hold associate senior professional titles. There are 12 members of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council’s Disciplinary Review Groups, 13 National Distinguished Teachers, 142 national high-level leading talents, and 236 national outstanding young talents.

DUT enrolls a total of over 50,000 students, including more than 25,500 undergraduates and over 24,700 postgraduates. Of the postgraduates, there are over 6,500 doctoral students and more than 18,100 master’s students.

Internationalization is one of the important strategic goals of DUT. DUT has established long-term stable collaborations with 311 universities and institutions in 42 countries and regions. At present, the university has established 3 Sino-foreign cooperative institutions with Ritsumeikan University, Leicester University, and Belarusian State University respectively, and 1 Sino-foreign cooperative program with University of California, Irvine.

Job Vacancy: Full-time English Language Teacher

Job Description

1) Five working days per week.

2) A minimum of 16 class hours per week each semester. Attend required activities organized by the School of General Education, such as teaching meetings, academic discussions, and exam invigilation.

3) Offer at least one elective course (24 class hours per course) in Ziqiang College. Must comply with the regulations of Ziqiang College and the Teaching & Research Department, including evening elective teaching arrangements.

4) Deliver at least one campus-wide lecture for students each month, with each lecture counted as 2 class hours.

5) Provide no fewer than four sessions of counseling and training per semester for extracurricular activities such as English Corner and language competitions. Each session is equivalent to 2 class hours.

6) Teaching disciplines such as Oral English, Critical Reading, English Writing, British/American/European Politics, History, Society & Culture, World Literature, Western Civilization, and TOEFL/IELTS training courses.

Job Requirements

3)学历要求：具有本科（含）以上学历，所学专业为人文、教育、社科类；持有ESL，TESOL，TEFL的申请人优先考虑

Education: Bachelor’s Degree and above (preferably in humanities, education or social sciences); ESL, TESOL or TEFL holders preferred.

4)工作经历（可选）：有两年（含）以上的高校全职英语教学经历优先考虑

Work Experience (optional): Candidates with at least two years of full-time English teaching experience at higher education institutions are preferred.

5)年龄：25-59 岁

Age: 25-59.

Benefits of Employment

1) Monthly Salary: Pre-tax salary ranges from RMB 13,200 to 20,500, determined by academic background and professional work experience.

2) Accommodation Option: Furnished apartments are available either on campus in Building F01 or off campus in Saige Building. Accommodation rent will be deducted from the monthly salary, while utility fees are not covered by the rent.

3) Holidays: Winter and Summer Holidays with payment for a one-year contract.

4) Medical Care (Insurance): Group Accident Insurance within Mainland China (for serious injuries, not for outpatient treatment). The insurance premium is included in salary.

5) Common Office: Free computers, a printer and Internet access. Donated reference books available.
